Marc
Abend, President
Marc Abend has been patrolling since 1977. He earned his PSPA
certification in 1983 while patrolling at Waterville Valley. He
has been an examiner since 1993. He currently patrols at Loon Mt.
and is the patrol’s training coordinator. He is also a certified
member of NSPS and is a member of the Eastern Division Ski and
Toboggan staff.

Carl Chaplin, Vice President
Carl was originally certified in 1984. At the time he was patrolling
at Sugarbush in Vermont. Carl re-certification in 2004
and has been an examiner since 2005.
He currently
patrols
at Ragged
Mountain in New Hampshire
and
is the
Assistant Patrol Director there.

Steve Guertin, Treasurer
Steve has been a certified member of PSPA since 1973, an examiner
since 2000 and the Treasurer since 2002. He has patrolled at Sugarloaf,
Lost Valley and is currently working at Mt. Sunapee.

Emily
Hinman,
Secretary
Emily was certified in 2003 and attained her examiner certification in 2005. She grew up skiing at Sugarloaf, ME and started her patrolling career at Mount Sunapee Resort, NH in 2001. Her time at Sunapee included 3 years as the APD and 3 years as the PD. She has just recently moved back to Maine and excited about the possibilities this winter holds.

Dave Rowean, First Aid Chair
A former President and Vice President, Dave is also a past
recipient of the Larry Collins Award. Dave has patrolled at Pat's
Peak, Beaver Creak, Waterville Valley and currently makes turns at
Cannon.

George Lemerise, Ski and Toboggan Chair
George has been patrolling since 1961 and has been PSPA certified
since 1981. George has been the Patrol Director at Attitash since
1981 and has also been the Ski and Toboggan Chairperson since 1983.
George was the Larry Collins Award winner in 1995-1996.

Richard Riley, Director
for 1 year
Rich grew up skiing at Wildcat Mountain where he joined the
junior ski patrol in 1983 and has patrolled since this time. Rich
got PSPA certified in 1999, and examiner in (2004) and currently
works as a professional patroller at Loon Mountain.

Doug Thorne,
Director for 2 years
Doug first started patrolling for the US Army in Garmisch,
Germany. For the last 31 years he has been a full-time patroller
at Killington, VT both as a supervisor and as a hill chief. For the
last 10 years he has been an OEC Instructor. He has been a member
of PSPA since 1981 and also an examiner. He is in his 2nd term
as a board member.

Joe Greenwood,
Director for 3 years
Joe has been patrolling since 1979 and became PSPA Certified in 2008.
He served as the Assistant Patrol Director for 10 years at Wachusett Mountain and has been the Patrol Director since 2008. Joe is also the Alternate Regional Director in the NSP EMARI region. He is National Certified (680), National Appointment (10018), NSP Certified examiner, a Senior Trainer Evaluator, Toboggan instructor trainer and OEC instructor trainer. |

Dave Walker, Recert.
Chair
Dave has been a PSPA member since 1990 and has held the offices
of Secretary, First Aid Chair, Vice President and President.
He works hard as the National Ski Patrol Eastern Division Certified
Supervisor and also as the Ski School Director. Dave is also
a past Patrol Director from Wachusett Mountain. He is National
Certified (372), National Appointment (6927), CPR Instructor,
Toboggan Instructor Trainer and Outdoor Emergency Care Instructor.
Dave can be found on the slopes of Wachusett or at many of
the patrol functions throughout the northeast. |

Wilkie, Affiliate Chair
Chris has been a professional patroller since 1996.
He has patrolled at the Summit-at-Snoqualmie in Washington and currently
works at Loon Mt. as their Investigation Supervisor. Chris is also
a past President of PSPA. |

Dave
Hill, Website Administrator
Dave was certified in 1999 and became an Examiner in 2000. He
has been a professional patroller since 1993 and is a past Patrol
Director at Loon Mountain. Dave has received two purple merit stars
from the National Ski Patrol and continues to patrol at
Loon. |

Chuck Wyman,
Newsletter Editor
Chuck hails from Loon Mountain. He is NSP Certified, EMT-B, Loon
Mountain Training Coordinator, PSPA examiner and is a lifetime
